Lego Friends
I was brought on to work on the 2D elements in a cluster of episodes in season 1 of Lego Friends.
It was a fun project and taught me a lot about design and restrictions when working with large brands.
The work we did in the episodes was expansive from storyboarding to design and animation. I enjoyed feeling part of these little stories and working together with the production team at Wild Brain Spark.
Pets at Home
The marketing team at Pets at Home was looking for a series of short ads for them to run online on Instagram and Youtube.
I thought it would be a fun concept to 3D scan items they wanted to promote and have a 2D mascot dog or cat interact with the 3D scanned object.
Conference of the Parties - COP26
I was approached by Earthbeat who wanted to create a live animation performance for the Climate conference happening in Glasgow.
I was excited because it was something I had never done before. We knew that within the allotted hour, it would be impossible to create all the animation, so we planned a lot in advance to set everything up.
The main idea was to use the live audience members who were participating in the talk. They sent us images of their hands, which we then collaged together while the talk was happening. The video was revealed at the end of the talk to showcase how important everyones participation is to the climate crisis.
The Vortex Cinema
I was brought to the Vortex Cinema to help with animation and mocap cleanup. It was a learning experience for me, as I had never worked with mocap or Maya’s tools for rigging skeletons imported from Unreal.
The game is incredibly ambitious, and I thoroughly enjoyed being involved.
